Sheraton Premiere at Tysons Corner evolves with the future growth of Tysons, newly unveiled as the Sheraton Tysons Hotel
Tysons, VA (July 9, 2014) - Since 1986, the Sheraton Premiere at Tysons Corner has been a local icon to the Tysons Corner skyline and a staple within the community. With Tysons Corner becoming its own municipality, known simply as "Tysons", the iconic hotel will now be identified as the Sheraton Tysons Hotel. In addition to Tysons becoming its own municipality, the opening of four Metro Rail Stations located in the heart of Tysons brings an evolution of great magnitude and the Sheraton Tysons Hotel openly embraces the future enhancements and growth.
In 2012, the Hotel went through a major renovation highlighted by new guestrooms, club lounge, public space, meeting rooms and a new elegant social ballroom. The renovation occurred in conjunction with phase one construction at Tysons West, a three-phase mixed-use project developed by The JBG Companies. At full build out, the transit-oriented development will have over 250,000 SF of retail, 400,000 SF of office and 700 residential apartments centered around nine quality public spaces designed to create a memorable experience for the residents of Tysons.
